2020 Nebraska Elder Justice Training

The 2020 Elder Justice Training will be held virtually on August 4, 2020. The day-long training will include presentations from several professionals knowledgeable about issues affecting Nebraska's aging population. Disability Rights Nebraska's Public Policy Director, Brad Meurrens, will be presenting alongside doctoral extern, Taylor Roth, on supported decision making in Nebraska. Other topics will be covered, including: nursing home closures, mental illness in the elderly, hoarding and self-neglect, guardianship form changes, mediation, medication, and frauds & scams.

Live web streaming will be held at locations across the state in Beatrice, Chadron, Grand Island, Hastings, Kearney, Lincoln, Norfolk, North Platte, Omaha, Scottsbluff, and Sidney.
