Disability Education Series: Nebraska Olmstead Plan

Friday, January 8, 2021
1:00 pm2:30 pm

An Olmstead Plan helps to ensure people with disabilities are placed in the most integrated community-based service settings. In 2016, the Nebraska Legislature passed a bill requiring an Olmstead Plan, and the plan had been in development until December 2019, when an official draft was presented to the Legislature.

Senior Staff Attorney Dianne DeLair, who has been directly involved in providing input on the plan throughout its development, will be presenting on Nebraska's Olmstead Plan as part of the Disability Education Series on Thursday, January 7th and Friday, January 8th. Please join Nebraska Disability Advocates for these FREE webinars designed to educate Nebraskans about Olmstead and the development of out state's plan.

NOTE: You must register for both the January 7th session and the January 8th session.

About the Disability Education Series: Nebraska Disability Advocates, a coalition of 19 disability advocacy organizations in Nebraska, is working together to host a collection of webinars covering topics of interest to the disability community. These webinars are free and open to any interested member of the public. Installments of the series are scheduled for the first Thursday of each month, and the topics covered in future sessions are yet-to-be-determined.
