Drive Change: Share Your Thoughts on Transportation in Nebraska

Accessible infrastructure helps people with disabilities live more independently and with dignity.

While transportation systems offer critical connections to employment, healthcare, and social activities, gaps in accessibility, especially in rural areas, can limit full participation.

True accessibility goes beyond vehicles and includes well-designed sidewalks, curb cuts, transit stops, and pathways that support safe, seamless mobility. Investing in infrastructure promotes quality opportunities, reduces isolation, and helps all Nebraskans thrive in the places they call home.

You can help by filling out a short survey.

The Olmstead Advisory Committee’s Transportation Subcommittee wants to hear from people with disabilities about their transportation experiences. Your answers will help guide the work of the committee, state lawmakers, and other decision-makers.

The goal is to learn about the transportation needs and challenges of people with disabilities across Nebraska and to create better, more inclusive services that help everyone get where they need to go.

You can fill out the survey here: https://tinyurl.com/bddbb9eu

The survey is open until November 30, 2025.
